Intimate. Sleek. Organic. Oh my!

We at AFA were thrilled when Joanna and Josh came to us to design their wedding. They knew exactly what they wanted, they just needed a little help bringing it all together. After hearing their ideas, we couldn’t wait to get to work!
“…editorial, modern, tasteful, but also colorful. I want to avoid the traditional cookie cutter look.”

– The Design –
We began with a design deck, outlining the color scheme and overall energy of the event. We placed an emphasis on balance: Sophistication with intimacy. Subtle but distinct. Refined, yet effortless.

Our highest goal was to create a vibe which reflected the bride and groom’s essence as individuals and as a couple, telling their love story through the lens of a modern romance.

– The Rentals –
It was imperative to find rentals that perfectly aligned with the overall vision. Rattan chargers added warmth while patterned napkins brought in some whimsy. Timeless, understated gold lamps were placed with florals to create airy centerpieces and provide an intimate glow and vintage touch.

Textured linens in muted pomegranate added an earthy feel while remaining sleek and refined. Seating with a natural finish, interlocking back design, and airy white cushions for modern and organic elegance. The clear tent helped bring the outdoors, in.

HUGE shout-out to Wallace Events for their beautiful and extensive rental collection. It was pivotal in assembling the look and made the process of bringing it all together seamless!
– The Florals –
Bridging summer and fall, the curated floral design favored moody, high-impact florals. Bold, expressive, and oh-so dramatic.

Arrangements felt organic and alive rather than tightly composed- aligning with Joanna and Josh’s requests for their wedding to not just be seen, but felt.

– The Stationery –
Joanna and Josh wanted florals to take center stage, woven thoughtfully into the guest experience. Each escort card was carefully paired with the menu selection guests chose in advance, then finished with an individual floral accent.

Our team hand-assembled every card, using blooms that echoed the palette and floral story of the day: small details designed to feel both personal and intentional.

Cheers to the Bride and Groom!
What fun, fulfilling work it was to design Joanna and Josh’s intimate and whimsical big day. To see their ideas come together in the most beautiful way is one of our most favorite parts of designing weddings!
