Happy Monday, friends! We at AFA hope you are staying warm as the weather is finally beginning to get chilly this Fall, and enjoying the changing of colors and fall activities that we all so look forward to every year.

Today we’ll be revisiting a super cool, unique wedding from 2022. Two words: Jazz. Club.
This was such a fun, beautiful wedding, fit for two people who are equally as beautiful and fun. Let’s meet the stars of the show, Brittany and Rory, shall we?!

Brittany and Rory were married in November of 2022, at Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club (aka Jimmy’s on Congress).
It was a delightfully chilly day in the heart of Portsmouth, New Hampshire as the couple got ready for the big day. Can you spot the wedding day jitters? So sweet!

Time for the first look! As always, we just swoon for a first look- and this was no exception.

Props to Glenn Livermore Photography for capturing the pure emotion of this moment. Their hard work didn’t stop throughout the day as they utilized countless unique settings for the happy couple and their bridal party, from a rooftop to a balcony to a brick-walled studio with tall, stunning windows.

What did you love the most about your venue?
The look of it – it was absolutely stunning !

They even captured photographs of the bridal party on an iconic trolley from Seacoast Trolley Company that set the stage for this day full of all the love and fun.

The ceremony itself was held in the sprawling space of the Jazz Club. With its soaring ceilings, tall windows, and gorgeous brick surrounding Brittany, Rory, and their loved ones, it was the perfect place to be declared husband and wife.

What do you feel your guest will remember the most about your wedding?
The venue, ceremony and band!

After the ceremony it was straight to the party- starting with a fabulous first dance between the newlyweds.

Many heartfelt toasts were given, including one by the bride and groom.

Any advice for couples on their wedding day or throughout the planning process?
SLOW DOWN. Take a moment to appreciate the day and the anticipation leading up to the day. The wedding itself is a blur and went by so fast!

After speeches it was time mingle, dine, and dance. (And dance and dance!)

We know it is so hard to choose- but what was your favorite part of your wedding weekend? (If you can’t choose, feel free to tell us a few!)
SO hard to choose – but the Welcome Party was great to connect with people before the wedding, ceremony was amazing, food, drinks, company, decor – it was beautiful!

King of Hearts turned the music and vibes way up!

Another unique detail you would like to share.
Loved being able to dance with my 93 year old grandmother to Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’!

It was such a joy to work with Brittany and Rory to help bring their day to life. We wish them all the happiness and love (and fun) to come!!
